about

look at the mouth that is looking at you is a further permutation of lance austin olsen's extensive graphic score craig's stroke, here performed by the ensemble of debora alanna, erin cunes, john luna, and olsen. a key selection of the graphic score, along with an interview by fellow artist miles lowry, is included with this album in the form of a digital book.

the audio recordings were made in a local church over a six week period in 2013. omnidirectional microphones were used to ensure that the atmosphere of the space, the creaking chairs, the passing traffic, and other incidental sounds were included in the process.

from 2013-2017 mixing, editing, and additional recordings were made by olsen.
